1.25 gram Sustainion ionomer powder that can be dissolved in DMF, DMSO and most alcohols. We recommend mixing this powder with 23.75 gram of ethanol to make the same 5% w/w concentration as the liquid form XA-9 ionomer on our webstore. This is the chloride form of the ionomer used in Zengcai Liu et al 2018 J. Electrochem. Soc. 165 J3371. It is designed for use in the cathodes of CO2 electrolyzers and can inhibit water electrolysis. The ionomer is shipped in the chloride form and needs to be converted to the hydroxide form. The later step is often done after the catalyst ink containing the ionomer is deposited on the electrode.
