The ESD LS30 (Instrument for Large Scale Electrostatic Discharge Sensitivity Test) is designed for the classification of large charges of energetic materials through a series of intensive electrostatic discharges with the energy of up to 15.6 J at 30 kV in accordance with military standards and requirements. The ESD LS30 is capable of testing various types and amounts of solid or granular sample forms weighing up to several kilograms. The MBP (Minimum Burning Pressure) is used for the determination of the minimum burning pressure of emulsion explosives ignited by a hot wire in a closed vessel under high pressure conditions. The pressure and temperature of the sample are recorded.
