OPTIMEX 8
OPTIMEX 8 Optical Analyzer of Explosive Processes is a multirole instrument which uses a series of fiber optic probes to record light intensity signals generated by explosives. Its primary use is detonation velocity measurement in any kinds of energetic materials. OPTIMEX 8 presents next generation of VOD-815 device with completely redesigned optoelectronic acquisition system and advanced data evaluation features based on extensive research of explosives’ light output. The optic probes principally provide full resistance against straight currents and electromagnetic disturbances.

VOD 815 Velocity Of Detonation Tester is the successor of model VOD-812. It is designed for measurement of the velocity of detonation wave passing through the explosive charge or the burning rate of propellants using fiber optic probes. The instrument measures time intervals between subsequent probe illuminations. The detonation velocity is then calculated based on time intervals and corresponding distances travelled by the detonation wave.

OPTIMEX 64 Advanced Optical Analyzer of Explosive Processes is a scientific instrument which uses multiple fiber optic probes to record light intensity profiles generated by explosives. It is useful for determination of various detonation parameters of any kinds of explosive materials. OPTIMEX 64 contains the same optoelectronic acquisition system as is used in OPTIMEX 8 and allows to use as much as 64 optical probes. The number of probes can be selected according to the actual needs. The optical probes principally provide full resistance against humidity and electromagnetic disturbances which allows the instrument to be used together with any other instrumentation.
MOREOPTIMEX PDV
OPTIMEX PDV Photonic Doppler velocimeter is a tool for measurement of velocity-time profiles of moving objects using photonic Doppler velocimetry. It can be used for determination of various detonation properties of explosives as well as for any other tasks where high precision in velocity or displacement measurement with extreme time resolution are needed. Photonic Doppler velocimetry is a method of velocity measurement based on the Doppler Effect in laser light. The actual value of the maximum velocity which can be measured lies typically in the range from tens to several thousand meters per second depending on parameters of the selected data acquisition system. The minimum velocity is not limited. The time resolution of velocity histories can be as high as a few nanoseconds. The measurement is simple and robust with almost no constraints regarding quality of the target surface.
